About Suzi

Suzi Dent is a multi award winning Australian Makeup Artist and Hairstylist with 25 years experience working on television shows, commercials, magazines, stage, fashion shoots and with TV and media celebrities and personalities.

Trained as a cosmetologist in the early eighties with the prestigious Shiseido cosmetic house, Suzi has always been passionate about skincare and makeup. A self described ”bit of a mad scientist”, Suzi formulated and manufactured her own range of aromatherapy bodycare products and lip colours, which she continued for over 7 years before selling the company. She also became a qualified dance fitness instructor at the age of 46. ”I believe that age is just a number and it shouldn’t be a barrier in achieving whatever you wish to do in life!” "I have been working as a makeup artist and hairstylist in the television and advertising industries since 1983.

"I had my first “big break” on the entertaining and popular gameshow It’s a Knockout,  and from there I was lucky enough to get work with Perfect Match, A Country Practice, Home and Away and other Aussie dramas."

One of Suzi's favourite memories was her time with Better Homes and Gardens, and she also worked on various news and current affairs shows and educational programs for channels 10, 7, 9 and SBS.

"I’ve worked on lots of commercials, corporate videos and magazine advertising campaigns for international and local clients.

"Also, I’ve designed hair and makeup styles for MTV presenters, worked with bands and on film clips and I spent 8 years as chief hair and makeup designer for the biggest bridal fashion show in Sydney."

Over the years Suzi has also enjoyed creating the makeup and hair styles for over 1000 brides and their bridal parties and spent many a morning meeting some wonderful families and being a part of their very special day!

For 25 wonderful years Suzi has enjoyed a fantastic career meeting and making-up a huge array of talented and influential people, from olympians and sporting heroes  to celebrities, prime ministers and performers.

Her professional approach and friendly personality has seen her working with the faces of some of Australia’s most famous and influential people.

Suzi loves creating beautiful faces glamorous hairstyles.

In 1996 she started a bridal makeup and hair styling agency for industry professionals in Sydney.

In 2002 having done over a thousand faces and winning numerous bridal industry awards, including best makeup artist in NSW, Suzi and her family relocated to the Gold Coast in Queensland.

Suzi and her family relocated to the gold coast in queensland . Continuing her career as a makeup and hair artist Suzi does all sorts of makeup work including lecturing on skincare and makeup to creating beauty, fashion and character creations to teaching special effects at leading Gold Coast makeup and beauty schools.
